Zach Johnson went to -8 par at end of day. Johnson said in an interview “It would be an honor, and I want to get on that team very, very bad. But you can justify the case for a number of guys. I’m not concerned about it. I’m going to let things fall where they fall. I feel like if I keep performing decent, then I’ll have a pretty good chance.”

Matt Kuchar leads the FedExCup point’s race and BMW Championship on Friday to shoot a 1-over-par 72 and tie Charlie Wi. Matt Kuchar leads after the second round of the BMW Championship with Korean Carlie Wi who shot 69 to jump to the top of the leader board.

Tiger Woods shot a 1-over on Friday and sits at 3-over for the tournament, nine strokes behind the lead. Woods has five career wins at Cog Hill, including last year’s BMW Championship. Hunter Mahan, Ryan Moore, Kevin Na, and Justin Rose are all at 3 under par. Five more players are close behind at 2 under par.
