Google has won approval from the Federal Trade Commission for mobile advertising company, AdMob. Its $750 million acquisition of mobile ad firm AdMob approved by the Federal Trade Commission.

The combination of Google and AdMob raised “serious antitrust issues,” but those concerns “ultimately were overshadowed by recent developments in the market, most notably a move by Apple Computer,” said Federal Trade Commission. Google and AdMob CEO Omar Hamoui were greatly pleased with the decision and will close the deal in the coming weeks.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen filed a lawsuit Friday against Google, Apple, AOL, Facebook, eBay, Yahoo Inc., Netflix, Office Depot Inc., OfficeMax Inc., Staples Inc. and Google’s YouTube.

Microsoft Corp co-founder Paul Allen is suing 11 major corporations. Interval Licensing Llc has sued these entities for violating patents. In the lawsuit filed in the US District Court in Seattle.

Apple, Google, Yahoo and AOL violated these patents, according to the lawsuit. Interval shut down in 2000 after garnering 300 patents. Google, Facebook and eBay said they will fight the accusations. According to the complaint, companies are liable for infringing a particular patent by making, using, offering, providing, and encouraging customers to use products that display.

Samsung launched its Android-powered Galaxy Tab into the European market. Galaxy Tab will run on Google’s Android operating system. Samsung hasn’t released the availability dates it will be shipped in other parts of Europe from October.

Galaxy Tab has capacity of 16 or 32GB, expandable by 32GB more. Galaxy Tab has a 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels. There is also a MicroSD card slot that can expand the storage capacity with another 32GB. The smaller size of the Galaxy Tab is useful when you’re out. The firm is “pleased to be introducing” the Galaxy Tab said Vodafone’s Patrick Chomet.

Google unveils new feature that displays results as soon as people begin typing their requests. Its latest and speedy feature called “Google Instant” for the web users.

The biggest advantage of the new search method is saving time. Sergey Brin, Google’s co-founder and president of technology said “We want to make Google the third half of your brain.” Google Instant predicts the search results and automatically updates them with the entered search terms.

The average Google query takes 15 seconds to enter and 300 milliseconds to process. Google says the overhaul will save users up to 5 seconds per search. Google Instant will initially work on the browsers Chrome, Firefox 3, Safari 5 and Internet Explorer 8.
