Orange launches High Definition Voice
Orange the first UK network to use a technology that offers higher quality voice calls. Orange has officially launched its new mobile HD Voice service for business customers.
HD Voice service is available to all Orange mobile customers from today. HD Voice as “the biggest advance in voice calls in 20 years” said Orange. The service is based on a technology called Adaptive Multi Rate Wideband.
HD Voice is available for free to all Orange customers who take a HD Voice enabled handset with the Nokia 5230, Nokia X6, Nokia E5 and Samsung Omnia Pro but most handsets should be updated over time to run the service. Nokia E5 and Samsung Omnia Pro 5230 already support HD Voice.
